Fort Logan National Cemetery is a 214-acre United States National Cemetery located in Denver, Colorado. Fort Logan was named after Union General John A. Logan. In 1868, General Logan issued General Order Number 11 establishing the last day in May as Decoration Day. In 1971, Decoration Day became Memorial Day.  It is celebrated on the last Monday in May. Over 122,000 veterans are buried at Fort Logan.
